Data search and analysis is critical in businesses that are hugely dependent on it. Data presented in pivot tables could then be shown as charts for easier reading and understanding.
Keeping and tracking data are one of the most important aspects in any business. It is due to accurate data preserved by superb data management that a business thrives and survives. However, with so many things happening in the workplace, one could not just simply file and manage them the old way. This is especially so for expanding companies and huge companies that gradually have more data than they could handle.

With helpful office programs such as Microsoft Excel, one could easily set up pivot tables through its intuitive and easy to use menu. It also helps people create charts with just several clicks of a mouse. Not only does it help in the creation of charts and pivot tables, they could also be saved into the company system. These charts and pivot tables could then be easily pulled up for easy referencing and data analysis.

Using the Microsoft Excel program as reference, one only need to follow these simple steps to create a chart from pivot tables. First of course, one would need to create a pivot table using the program's easy to follow pivot table wizard. The steps could be a bit confusing for first time users wanting to create pivot tables, but the helpful "Help" tab should guide them just fine. As there are already several versions of Excel available on the market, steps in creating pivot tables may vary slightly per version. There are several helpful websites on the internet which offer these lessons with matching visual aids available for each Excel version.

Next would be creating the charts themselves. This is how to create a chart from a pivot table using the Microsoft Excel 2007 version.

- Once the pivot table is created, click on the PivotTable report. Of course, one should specify which data to analyze and create a chart of. It is also important to specify what pivot table would be used.

- Next, click on the "Insert" tab. Several options will show up from where one could edit the worksheet easily. In the "Charts" section, one could then easily choose a specific chart that they would want, then click on it. It's that easy - one could use the next appropriate data to be used then create specific charts for it. Note that scatter charts, bubble charts, or stock charts are excluded from the list of what could be used.

Aside from these steps, one could also be able to "translate" a pivot chart into a standard chart, or even use pivot table data to create a standard chart. The data could of course be manipulated accordingly in order to show what the person is looking for exactly, with more detailed steps to do so. One should always pay attention to the littlest details because they may get a little overwhelming at first. Also, it gets confusing if the steps are done haphazardly. One should also not be afraid to use the "Help" tabs for more complicated questions that need thorough explanation.
